Semi Electric Stacker
A semi-electric stacker is a material handling tool that combines manual propulsion with electric lifting. The operator manually pushes or pulls the stacker to move loads, while an electric motor, powered by a rechargeable battery, handles the lifting and lowering functions. This hybrid design makes them a cost-effective option for tasks like lifting pallets in warehouses, retail, and manufacturing, especially in areas with frequent lifting but shorter travel distances.
Key features
- Electric lift: Uses a battery-powered motor to lift and lower loads, reducing operator fatigue.
- Manual movement: Requires the operator to push or pull the stacker for horizontal movement, which helps maintain a compact and cost-efficient design.
- Compact design: Maneuverable in narrow aisles and congested spaces, making it suitable for small to medium-sized operations.
- Load capacity: Typically handles loads between 1,000 to 1,500 kg (1 to 1.5 tons), with lift heights ranging from 1.6 to 3.5 meters or more.
- Safety features: Common safety measures include an emergency stop switch, overload protection, and a safety screen.
- Easy to use and maintain: Simple design with user-friendly controls and minimal moving parts for easier operation and less maintenance.
How it works
- Positioning: The operator manually maneuvers the stacker to the desired location, positioning the forks under the pallet.
- Lifting: They press buttons on the handle to activate the electric motor, which powers a hydraulic system to raise the forks and the load.
- Stacking: The operator pushes the stacker to the height of the rack and lowers the load onto the designated spot.
- Transport: The load is then lowered to the ground, and the operator manually moves the stacker to the next location.
