Band Sealer With Nitrogen Flushing Option
A band sealer with a nitrogen flushing option is a machine that continuously seals pouches while injecting nitrogen gas to displace oxygen, preserving product freshness and extending shelf life. It's used for a wide variety of products, especially food items like snacks, coffee, and nuts, as well as pharmaceuticals and other goods sensitive to moisture and oxidation. The process involves the machine injecting nitrogen gas into a filled pouch before a heated band creates an airtight, strong seal.
How it works
- Set parameters: The operator sets the temperature, speed, and nitrogen pressure using a control panel, with settings adjusted based on the pouch material and thickness.
- Load pouch: A pre-filled pouch is manually placed on the conveyor belt, with a nozzle inserting into the pouch to begin the flushing process.
- Nitrogen flush: The machine injects nitrogen gas, which is heavier than air, to push out oxygen and fill the pouch.
- Heat sealing: As the pouch moves through the machine, heated bands or rollers melt and fuse the material together, creating a strong, airtight seal.
- Output: The sealed pouch moves off the conveyor, ready for boxing or further packaging.
Key features and benefits
- Airtight seal: Ensures a leak-proof and tamper-proof seal to prevent spillage and contamination.
- Extended shelf life: By removing oxygen, it prevents oxidation, mold growth, and spoilage, preserving quality for longer.
- Preserves quality: Maintains the freshness, crispness, aroma, and flavor of products like chips and coffee.
- Professional appearance: Creates a consistent and professional-looking package.
- High-speed operation: Continuous sealing and an automated process increase production efficiency.
- Adjustable settings: Features like temperature control allow the machine to accommodate various packaging materials.
