Horizontal Band Sealer

A horizontal band sealer is an industrial machine that uses a continuous conveyor belt to automatically and quickly seal bags or pouches in a horizontal position. It works by passing filled bags through a heated sealing band, which melts and presses the edges together to create a strong, airtight seal. These machines are ideal for high-volume packaging, as they allow for continuous operation with adjustable speeds and temperatures to accommodate various materials.

Key components and functions

  • Conveyor belt: A motorized conveyor belt moves the bags through the machine at a set speed.
  • Heating elements: Heated bands melt the material of the bag, and pressure is applied to create a strong bond.
  • Control panel: Allows the operator to precisely adjust the sealing temperature, conveyor speed, and other settings for different bag materials and thicknesses.
  • Sealing width: The width of the seal can typically be adjusted, often ranging from 8 to 10 mm.

How it works

  1. Place a filled bag onto the conveyor belt.
  2. The belt automatically moves the bag through the machine.
  3. The heated sealing bands melt the bag's edges.
  4. Pressure seals the edges together, creating an airtight and secure seal.
  5. The sealed bag exits the machine.
